Casey Kathol

A stylist for seven years (and counting!), I’m a phase II graduate of the prestigious Paul Mitchell. Following graduation, I became an independent stylist at Argonauta, an exclusive Bumble and bumble salon in Northern California. Having happily relocated to the great emerald city four years ago, I now bring my skills to the serene environment of Salon Ayano.

My accomplishments include advanced cutting, color and styling training from Bumble and bumble, Davines, Goldwell and Kevin Murphy. From a killer ombre to the perfect blonde, to haircuts and sleek blow-outs, I’m anxious to meet and pamper new clients. Bonus: I give a mean head message—a relaxing salon visit is in your future!

Rick Gustafson

I have been in the hair industry for over 33 years.  I specialize in a variety of cutting styles resulting from my extensive training in the Vidal Sassoon and Rusk hair cutting techniques.  After working for Gene Juarez Salons for 9 years, I became an independent hair stylist.  I spent 4 years traveling extensively in the western states as an educator with the Rusk Educational & Design Team working hair shows and fashion events.  By keeping abreast of current trends, I strive to create a style and color that is individual to each client.  I am excited to create Salon Ayano and work with a group of stylists that are also dedicated to quality and integrity within the industry.

Tahara Chapman

As early as childhood, Tahara dreamt about creating beautiful hair.  Following her dream and her mother’s footsteps she became a hairdresser. Tahara attended the Shoreline Community College Cosmetology program. She then went on to receive advanced training from Aveda, Bumble and Bumble and John Sahag. She learned how to tame the curliest of curls, design a timeless cut and create the most vibrant of colors. On top of creating amazing hair, Tahara also thrives off giving everyone the most relaxing salon experience. She invites you to pamper yourself at Salon Ayano.

Kevin Thomas

Having been in the salon industry for over 35 years, I have seen many hair trends come, go, and come back again. I knew at a young age that I wanted to pursue a career as a hairstylist. There is a great feeling of accomplishment that comes in knowing your client completely trusts your cutting and coloring skills and looks
forward to their time in the salon. I am thankful to be part of one of the best salons in Seattle.
